Fuel efficiency is at the top of the list and there are several prime Honda candidates. Read on to find out which Honda scores the best gas mileage.

Which Honda Has the Best Gas Mileage

In a recent study, it was found that Americans ranked fuel efficiency as the most important factor in purchasing a vehicle. Fuel efficiency topped innovative safety features and even lower prices in their decision-making process; can you believe that?

If you want a fuel-efficient vehicle, there's no better brand to look to than Honda. Honda has been ranked one of the highest fuel economies in the car market with the lowest CO emissions. Now, if you're wondering which model to buy, you're not alone.

However, don't worry, with this guide you can find out! From the Honda Accord hybrid to the Honda insight, you can learn which Honda model has the best gas mileage.

Now, are you ready to get started? Here's an in-depth look at fuel-efficient Hondas:

2020 Honda Fit Sport

The Honda fit sport sadly does not live up to the hype. With only 31 MPG on city speeds and 36 MPG on highways, the fit sport is not as efficient as some other models. In fact, it has a combined total of only 33 MPG.

Now, it does have a larger fuel tank capacity which means you can drive longer without refueling. However, since the fuel efficiency is so low, there isn't a guarantee that your gas will last as long as you would like.

In fact, many people were so disappointed in the small car's fuel economy that Honda decided to discontinue the car altogether. So the latest year you can purchase is the 2020 model.

2020 Honda Civic Sedan EX

The Honda Civic sedan isn't all it's cracked up to be. Driving it gives you 32 MPG at city speeds and an average of 42 MPG at highway speeds. It also has a combined 36 MPG, which is fair but not great for a family car.

Honestly, it's not the perfect family vehicle. While you'll save some fuel, it's not as efficient as some other cars on the market.

In fact, another downside to this car is it has a 12.4 fuel tank which some see as relatively small compared to other models. Meaning not only will you not save a lot of gas, but you'll have to refuel more and spend a lot of money doing so. If you're looking for a fuel-efficient Honda, this car is on the lower end of the spectrum.

2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid

This hybrid car has a good miles per gallon rating. It drives at an efficient 40 MPG during city speeds and an average of 35 MPG on the highway. It also has a combined total of 35 MPG.

Now, while these numbers aren't too high, this car has one advantage that many Hondas lack: a large fuel tank capacity. With the Honda CR-V hybrid, you'll get a fuel tank capacity of 14 gallons.

So while you won't save as much compared to other models, you'll still have a large tank that won't have to be filled up every week. That way, you save money on your overall gas mileage. So between its fuel efficiency and large fuel capacity, this hybrid car is certainly one to look at.

2020 Honda Accord Hybrid

This hybrid vehicle has a pretty good overall miles per gallon rating. It drives at an efficient 48 MPG at city speeds and an average of 47 MPG at highway speeds. It even has a combined total of 48 MPG, which is quite good.

However, it's worth stating that at highway speeds, the vehicle relies solely on the engine, so driving over 65 mph starts to decrease your efficiency. Now, while that is a detriment to the car, there are a few advantages.

In fact, the car has a fuel tank capacity of 12.8 gallons meaning you will go long periods of time without having to fill up on gas. Having a larger fuel tank will save you money, especially over time.

Now to put it simply, this car isn't the cream of the crop, but it isn't a bad option either. If you want a car simply for driving around, or to and from work, this could be the car for you. It has fairly good fuel efficiency and even has a larger fuel tank that can help you save when you need it most.

2021 Honda Insight

Remember this car because it's all you'll want after reading this. The Honda Insight is the best car for fuel-efficiency. It drives 55 MPG in the city and around 49 MPG on the highway. It even has a combined total of 50 MPG; how cool is that?

The only downside is it has a fuel tank capacity of 10.6 gallons. That is on the smaller side compared to other models. However, with how fuel efficient this car already is, you won't be purchasing gas too often, so you won't be banking the bank on gas purchases.

Overall, this car has the best gas mileage of any Honda vehicle. It's the perfect car; whether you're a traveling professional or a working mom, this car will be a perfect addition to your family. Choose a Vehicle With Great Gas Mileage Today

Selecting a Honda that's fuel-efficient rather than a gas-guzzler is difficult. There are so many elements to think about that it can get overwhelming.

However, by far, the Honda Insight has the best gas mileage both in the city and on highway speeds. While the Honda Fit Sport has the worst mileage compared to other models, it isn't as bad in the overall car market. So if you want to purchase a Honda, think about what you need and what you don't; that way, you can find a vehicle that compliments your lifestyle.
