Honda Accord 2021 Price
The 2021 Honda Accord starts at an MSRP base price of $24,970 and increases based on specialization. It's a small jump from the previous model's base price of $24,270.
This starts the package on the lowest trim, the Accord LX. Deciding which trim provides you the most for your money all falls to what you consider essential in the car to function in everyday life.
Not all of the trims have the same functionality. With the implemented changes of the canceled manual Honda Accord transmissions, you may want to consider paying more on a trim that can come close to what used to be.
Engine Transmission Performance
This year's Accord listing begins with the traditional 192-hp turbocharged engine for the following trims:
- LX
- Sport
- Sport SE
- EX-L
What's raising the bar, however, is the offering of the 252-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder as a second choice for the 2021 Honda Accord Sport and as the Touring's main power source.
The 10-speed automatic transmission for this particular engine provides quick shifting while maintaining power and optimizing fuel economy. The drivability tests to be light as far as steering, which is a positive if you're looking for easy handling around turns.
The Exterior
Through minimal tweaking for better functionality, Honda allowed the classic look of the exterior to continue on another year. Compared to the 2020 version, you may not be able to spot the small differences.
The LX and EX-L come with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the others flaunt the same wheels at 19-inches.
Styling-wise, the grill is slightly bigger. It also has a new type of LED headlight.
2021 Honda Accord Interior Features and Safety
The similarities of previous and current year exteriors stop as soon as the doors of each trim open. Each 2021 trim offers individual looks and increases in luxury as the prices increase.
The LX
The LX is the most modestly designed. It includes cloth seats, a 4-speaker audio system listed as 160-watts, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It does not come with power seats to adjust, nor are they heated, and there are no options for a moon roof.
Phone connectivity is available for both Apple and Android phones, as well as Bluetooth streaming, but all the USB ports are located in the front.
Though it's only the base model, the LX comes with an impressive smart safety system. Included are road departure detection, a rearview camera, rear-seat reminder alerts, and adaptive cruise control. All of these can be found in the other trims as well.
The Sport
The Sport ranks higher in luxury than the LX because it offers the one-touch moonroof as an option. The seats are cloth but are heated with a power adjustment available on the driver's seat.
It also comes with the same phone connectivity but takes it a step further with a wireless phone charging option. You can find USB ports in both the front and the rear.
All higher-priced trims starting with Sport come with smart entry/walk away locking integration that automatically locks when you step away.
In terms of safety, the Sport boasts that it offers blind-spot detection, a feature seen in the higher-end accords.
The Sports Special Edition
Next, the Sport's SE trim comes with leather-trimmed seats that are heated. Both front seats are powered to be adjustable. Like the Sport, both support an 8-speaker audio system.
The Sport SE does not offer wireless phone charging and does not come with a blind spot radar.
The EX-L and Touring
Both the EX-L and Touring match each other with their options of leather seats, a moonroof, a 10-speaker audio system, and powered front seats with a driver memory feature.
However, the Touring beats the EX-L in the rank of luxury because it offers heated front and outboard rear seats.
In terms of features and safety, both of these trims have every feature the cheaper models have and parking sensors for safe parking.
The Fuel Economy
It takes 14.8 gallons to fill up the tank for all trims of the 2021 Honda Accord. However, it does vary when it comes to gas mileage due to the engines and transmissions they have.
The LX roughly offers 30 city and 38 highway miles per gallon. On the other spectrum, the Touring produces 44 city and 41 highway miles per gallon.
Keep in mind that sport mode can affect these stats, raising them higher or lower than average. For an accurate figure on sports mode mileage, an in-person test drive can easily determine this.
The 2021 Accord Hybrid
This year's hybrid options received changes to the way the acceleration matches the engine revving, something complained about in the previous model. It comes with a Hybrid Powertrain as well as deceleration selectors that allow you to control the rate of braking.
Based on its non-hybrid counterpart, you can find all of the features of the interior to be the same.
The hybrids can fit 12.8 gallons in their tank when needed and have a combined mileage per gallon of 48.
